Recently, in an interview with Elle, the famous American designer Ruthie Davis made some confessions and described what her wardrobe was like before becoming a celebrated author of vertiginous high heeled shoes. And when talking specifically about wearing shoes, she said:
“Before creating my shoes, I wore Balenciaga, YSL, Lanvin, Pierre Hardy, Chloe. Those high, platform shoes were never tacky. I continued to wear them until I managed to create my own product, of the same quality, but, in my opinion, even more comfortable. Fine tuning the upper part of my shoes has been a long journey of testing and paying attention to detail. In general, these high heels with a double bottom are either super sexy or heavy and weighty. Mine are feminine and edgy at the same time. They evoke dark style, while maintaining a sporty and fun tone. I have never been afraid to mix elements and to put something innovative on the shoe that you would not normally see. A touch of fluorescent colour or a surprise tassel.”
